Description
63, 65, and 67 High Street are three cottages dating from the 18th century, with some parts raised in the 19th century. They are constructed of coursed squared ironstone, with ironstone and limestone rubble in the lower courses. The cottages feature 19th-century brick courses below the eaves of Nos. 63 and 65. No. 67 has a thatched roof, while Nos. 63 and 65 have slate roofs, with brick ridge and end stacks. The buildings are two stories high and form a six-window range.
Nos. 63 and 67 have four-panel doors, with the door of No. 67 being part-glazed and accompanied by a three-light casement window to the left. No. 65 has a six-panel door with a three-light casement window to the right and a four-pane sash window to the left, all featuring timber lintels. No. 63 has two-light casement windows on either side of its door, all with timber lintels. The upper floor has two-light casement windows, with those belonging to Nos. 63 and 65 having timber lintels, while No. 67 features two in eyebrow dormers. Inside, No. 65 has stop-chamfered beams.
