Description

This is an early 18th-century house located on the south side of High Street, Long Buckby. The house is constructed of ironstone ashlar, with the ground floor rendered. It has a thatched roof with a brick ridge and end stacks. The original house is two storeys high with a four-window front. A single-storey extension was added in the 19th century to the right of the original unit.

The upper windows are late 18th-century wood casements with 24 panes each, each with a wooden lintel above. The ground floor has a 20th-century casement to the left, also with a wooden lintel. Other windows on the ground floor are original 18th-century bays, with wood casements and moulded surrounds. The extension has a 20th-century casement with a wooden lintel. A 20th-century part-glazed door is centrally located on the left side, also with a wooden lintel. To the centre right is a late 18th-century doorcase with pilasters and a moulded hood. Within this doorcase is a 20th-century part-glazed wooden door with an overlight above. Quoins are visible at the corners, and the gables are coped with kneelers. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
