Description

Garden Cottage, dated THG 174(?)5 on a plaque reset in the east gable, is a modest one-story building. It is constructed of rubble stone with some brickwork in the east gable end. The roof is covered in asbestos slate, with bargeboards to the gables and end stacks; the right-hand stack is thinly bricked. The building has eaves-breaking rendered dormers with two-light barred casement windows. A modern, weatherboarded gabled porch covers the central door, and the cottage is flanked by three-light wooden casement windows. The group value of Garden Cottage lies in its contribution to the character of the area.
