Description
Tarifa Cottage is a 17th-century building constructed of rubble stone with a thatched roof. The roof is gabled at the west end and half hipped at the east end, featuring a brick stack on the west side that is cement rendered. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road and originally consisted of one storey and an attic with two bays. It has been extended by an additional two bays to the east.
The north front has four bays and includes two eyebrow dormers; the dormer on the west side features a 19th-century two-light, six-pane casement window, while the dormer on the east extension has a 20th-century casement window. The original section has a 19th-century two-light, six-pane casement window on the ground floor, and the extension also includes a 20th-century casement window. There is a centrally placed thatched and glazed porch from the 20th century, which has a neo-Georgian door.
