Description

This is an 18th-century cottage range located on the east side of Faringdon Road, Shrivenham. The cottages are constructed of rubble stone with brick dressings and quoins, and have a gabled roof covered in machine tiles, with three brick stacks. The range comprises two properties, Nos. 2 and 4 (Beech Tree Cottage). No. 2 has a three-light, two-pane casement window on both the upper and ground floors, and a plank door with a 20th-century gabled porch. No. 4 has two similar casement windows to the ground floor, and two top-lit 20th-century windows on the upper floor, with a plank door and a gabled wooden porch. The two cottages are situated as part of a continuous group with Nos. 1-13 Longcot Road.
