Description

This is an 18th-century range of two cottages, numbered 7 and 9, located on the west side of School Lane in Maxey. The cottages are constructed of coursed stone with flush quoins. They have a thatched roof with gabled ends and internal brick chimney stacks at each end and one in the centre. The cottages are two storeys high, with a four-window range. They feature small, two-light casement windows. There are two plain doorways. The date "1831" is scratched onto the quoin stone of number 7.
