Description
The Bakery is a range of three cottages located on the north side of Fore Street in Evershot, dating from the mid to late 19th century. The cottages feature dressed stone walls and stone quoins, topped with a slate roof that has gable ends. There are brick stacks at the left-hand ridge and two additional stacks on the ridge at the center. The building is two stories high and has a total of seven windows. The ground floor includes three-light ovolo-moulded stone mullions and two-light cross-transom windows, each with separate labels and chamfered stone cills. Above these, there are two-light stone mullions. Each window is fitted with wooden sashes.
The doorways include a plank door at the right center (for No. 18) with moulded jambs, a 4-centred head, and two top lights, also with a separate label above. To the left of center, there is a doorway that provides shared access to Nos. 20 and 22, featuring a plank door with strap-hinges and a separate label above.
