Description
Nos. 13, 15, and 17 on Fore Street are three attached cottages dating from the 17th century, with significant alterations from the 19th century. The cottages have chalk block walls that are rendered, and they feature a slate roof with gable ends. There are brick stacks located at the left-hand gable, along the ridge left of centre, at the ridge right of centre, and at the right-hand gable. The buildings are two storeys high and have a total of seven windows. No. 13 has iron casements with lead lights, while Nos. 15 and 17 have both iron casements with lead lights and cast-iron casements with glazing-bars. All the cottages have wooden cills. The front doors are made of planks, with No. 13's door on the right side, No. 15's door accessed through a passage, and No. 17's door located at the centre right.
