Description
The building is a Sunday School and a cottage located on the south side of Main Street in Tingewick, dated 1828 according to a plaque. The Sunday School is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a thatched roof. It is a single storey structure with a four-panelled door set in a pointed arch on the right-hand side. There are three windows, each with similar pointed arches and wooden Y tracery, with leaded panes in the upper sections. A similar window is found in the left-hand gable, with a door to the left of it. The cottage, which is 18th century, is situated to the right and is made of coarser rubble stone, featuring wooden lintels above its openings. It also has a thatched roof with a brick stack on the right gable and is 1½ storeys tall. The ground floor of the cottage includes a two-light wooden casement window and a boarded door to the left, along with a two-light leaded casement window in the thatch.
