Description
Jasmine Cottage is a building located on Main Street in Tingewick, with a rear wing dated 1626, as indicated by a plaque on the north gable wall. The structure is made of rubble stone and features a timber post in the northwest corner. It has an old tile roof with gables that are separate from the front wing. The cottage is two storeys high.
On the east side, there are central sash windows, with the lower window being barred and a 2-light casement window on the upper right side. The right-hand door is boarded, while the left-hand door is half-glazed and has a barred fanlight above it. The front wing, dated MWJp 1820, has been altered and is rendered with toothed brick eaves and a tile roof.
To the left, there is an angled two-storey bay with sash windows, and to the right, an angular bay with sash windows on the ground floor and a sash window above. There is a central wooden casement window on the ground floor, and a half-glazed, panelled door to the right.
