Description
The Royal Oak Inn is an 18th-century building located on Main Street in Tingewick. It is constructed from colour-washed rubble stone and features a tiled roof. The left-hand block has coped gables with moulded kneelers and boxed eaves that form a cornice. There are brick stacks at the gable ends. The inn is two storeys high and consists of two main bays, with a lower extension set back to the right that terminates in a lean-to. The ground floor has modern angular bays with wooden casements, while the first floor features sash windows. To the right of the main block, there is a six-panelled door with a flat wooden hood supported by brackets, along with a rectangular fanlight that has marginal coloured glazing.
