Description

This is a 17th-century cottage with an attached stable block. The cottage is constructed of rubble stone, colour-washed to the front except for the exposed rough quoins. It has a thatched roof with coped gables and moulded ironstone kneelers, and brick end stacks. The cottage is single-storied with two bays, the right-hand bay slightly projecting. It features 3-light wooden casements on the ground floor, and smaller, barred 2-light casements set within the thatched roof. A 4-panel door is located to the right of the left-hand bay, with a small window below the thatch. The attached stable block to the rear is of rubble stone with later brick alterations and a thatched roof.
