Description

Manor Farm Barn is a barn dated 1753, located in Apshendon, Pollicott. It is constructed of rubblestone and has an old tile roof. The barn comprises three bays, with a central cart entry. Narrow ventilation slits are present, and the north cart entry has been blocked with brick. The east gable features a pitch hole, now blocked, and a triangular vent in the apex of the west gable. A datestone in the east gable reads "E.T.1753". The interior has a double purlin roof with tall queenstruts to the upper purlin’s collar and raking queen posts to the lower purlins. Butt purlins are also present. To the left is a rubblestone outbuilding with an old tile roof, spanning two bays; the left bay has been extensively repaired in brick and contains two doors.
