Description
No. 14 Dunton Road is a small house dating from the 17th century, which has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with brick infill, including some herringbone panels on the east side. The ground floor on the west side is built in brick, while the gable facing the street has whitewashed roughcast and weatherboard. The house has a tiled roof and a central brick chimney, and it is 1½ storeys tall with three bays.
On the west side, there is a three-light leaded casement window to the left, and 19th-century three-light wooden casements in the center and in a dormer to the left. A ledged board door is located between the left-hand bays. At the far end, there is a hipped extension with a 20th-century three-light casement window. The gable facing the street features a canted bay window with a moulded cornice, a hipped tile roof, and sash windows on the ground floor. There is a three-pane sash window on the first floor, and to the left, a four-panelled door with a 19th-century wooden doorcase that has fluted pilaster strips and a cornice hood supported by cut brackets. Additionally, there is a small 20th-century extension on the east side.
