Description
No. 2 Cheney End is a small house dating from the 17th century, which was refurbished in the 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with square panels, angle braces, and whitewashed brick and plaster infill. The left gable wall and chimney were rebuilt in brick during the 20th century, and the house has a 20th-century tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. On the ground floor, there are 20th-century barred wooden casements, with a three-light window on both the left and right sides, and a two-light window to the left of centre. The first floor has one 20th-century three-light leaded casement on the left. To the right of centre, there is a 20th-century door with a small 20th-century lean-to porch. The right gable end features more irregular 20th-century casements and displays the principal rafters along with the ends of the purlins and ridge.
