Description
Elms Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 18th century, with 20th-century windows and early 19th-century rear extensions. It is constructed of brick and has a roof covered with 20th-century interlocking tiles, along with flanking brick chimneys. The building is L-shaped, consisting of three storeys and three bays. It features moulded brick eaves and 20th-century wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, including three-light windows flanking two-light windows, with the lower windows having transoms. The ground floor and first floor windows have cambered heads. The central entrance has a flush-panelled door with nine panels and a semicircular fanlight, framed by a later wooden surround with a cornice. There is a later flat-roofed polygonal bay on the left gable. The rear wing includes an early 19th-century extension with dentil eaves, as well as an early 19th-century lean-to at the back of the main block.
