Description
This is a house dating from the late 16th to 17th century, significantly altered over time. It is timber-framed with diagonal bracing and whitewashed brick infill, with a section of herringbone brickwork on the first floor of the right-hand bay. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the left. Brick chimneys are located on the right gable and between the left bays. The house has one-and-a-half storeys and three bays. The two right-hand bays have three-light leaded casement windows with 20th-century replacements on the ground floor; the first-floor windows are set within the thatch. The left bay features a projecting gabled extension constructed of whitewashed brick and roughcast, with some timber framing and a steeply pitched tiled roof. The extension has a three-light leaded casement window on its front face, along with flanking lean-to additions, the one on the right containing an entrance.
