Description
This is a cottage located at 7 West Street, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof with a brick stack at one end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two stories high with an attic. The front has a two-window range, with a 19th-century four-panel, part-glazed door on the right side. This door has a blocked overlight, panelled reveals, and a reeded wood surround with decorative paterae, and it is accessed by a single stone step. There is a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor and 12-pane sash windows on the first floor, all with flat-arched heads. The cottage also has cellar windows with wooden lintels, dentilled brick eaves, and two gabled dormer windows. The interior has not been inspected.
