Description
27 West Street is a house that has been converted into a bakery and café. It dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. The building has a rendered exterior over a timber frame and features a plain-tile roof with brick stacks inside. Originally, it had a two-unit plan and is two stories tall with an attic, displaying a four-window range. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front, while the first floor features 12-pane sash windows with moulded wood surrounds. There are console brackets supporting a deep moulded cornice and two flat-roofed dormer windows. A central pilaster strip is present on the first floor. Inside, the building has chamfered spine beams.
