Description

College Cottage is a medieval cruck hall house that was altered in the 17th century. It is timber framed with colourwashed plastered infill and has a thatched roof. The cottage is one storey high with dormers and consists of four bays, although there is a modern garage bay on the right side. The windows are irregular casements, and there are three doors, with the central door located in front of a 17th-century inserted stack made of old thin brick, creating a lobby entry plan type house. Inside, the hall has been floored over and features two cruck trusses.
