Description

No. 64 on Worminghall Road is an 18th-century cottage constructed with mud walls and roughcast. It features a thatched roof that is hipped to the left. The building is one storey high and consists of three bays, with the left bay being a slightly later addition. There are two 2-light casement windows in the right bays, and a stack is located at the right gable. At the rear, there is a door leading into a modern flat-roofed kitchen extension. Inside, the cottage includes one chamfered spine beam, one rougher spine beam, and a simple roof structure in the left bay. This cottage is a notable example of a very small cob cottage.
