Description

No. 40 on Main Street is a cottage dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a thatched roof with stone and brick end stacks. The building has one and a half storeys, with part-light casements and eyebrow dormers above. The central entrance is a part-glazed door with wooden lintels. To the right, there is a 19th-century single-storey brick extension that has a plain tile roof, hipped to the right, a brick ridge stack, and a two-light casement window.
