Description
Nos. 81 and 85 on Main Street are two cottages that were originally four, dating from the 18th century. They are built from coursed rubble stone with quoins and have 20th-century corrugated and pantile roofs, featuring brick and stone ridge and end stacks. The cottages are 1½ storeys high and have nine casement windows, including a centre-opening three-light window, a two-light window, another centre-opening three-light window, three three-light windows, a small canted bay with a stone base, and two one-light windows. There are also two three-light half-dormers on the left and two two-light dormers on the right. A doorway is blocked at the centre left, and there are doors and extensions at the rear. These cottages are included for their group value.
