Description
Nos. 16 and 18 on Crocket Lane are two cottages dating from the 18th century. They are built of coursed rubble stone with quoins and feature a thatched roof, which has both stone and brick ridge and end stacks. The cottages have a gable facing the driveway, with No. 16 on the left and No. 18 on the right, the latter having a slightly lower roof line.
No. 16 has a 2-light casement window on the left, while No. 18 has a similar window on the right. At the rear of No. 16, there is a door, additional casement windows, and two 3-light eyebrow dormers. No. 18 features a 2-light casement window on both floors at the right end, and at the rear, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension with a thatched roof, casements, and a door.
