Description
Nos. 32 and 34 on Main Street are two cottages, which may have originally been one, dating from around 1700. They are built of coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone dressings, topped with a Collyweston slate roof featuring end stacks. The base is made of stone, while the rest is 20th-century buff brick. The left gable has a stone coping. The cottages are 2½ storeys high and have four casement windows. From the left, there are two 2-light windows with moulded stone frames, a 3-light stone mullion window, and possibly a 2-light window covered in ivy. On the ground floor, there is a 2-light window with a moulded stone frame, a six-panelled door with glazed top lights and a wooden canopy, another 2-light window, and a 2-light window with a 20th-century door in a linked frame. There are three hipped dormers with 2 lights each. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to, and at the rear, there is a two-storey wing. The roof is hipped, and there are two stacks made of red brick and stone. Inside, there are beams and an inglenook.
