Description

No. 53 on Cherry Orton Road is an 18th-century cottage made of coursed stone rubble with a thatched roof featuring gabled ends. The south gable has been rebuilt in brick. The cottage is one storey with an attic and has two windows, with two dormers located at the eaves. The windows are small 19th-century two-light casements that include glazing bars. There is a modern central door, and the end stacks have been rebuilt in brick. The north-west corner features brick quoins.
