Description
Rectory Farmhouse is a 17th-century building that was extended at the north end in the 18th century. The south end features coursed stone rubble, while the north end has bands of dressed stone and dressed quoins. It has a thatched roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys tall. The facade includes a five-window range, some of which are blocked, and features 19th-century two-light casements with modern shutters. At the south end, there is an original canted bay window with a stone-tiled roof. The central entrance has a reeded and flush panel door with a hood supported by shaped brackets. The house has end stacks and a central ridge stack, with the south end stack being stone heightened in brick. Inside, there is a late 17th-century staircase that has been partly reconstructed, featuring turned balusters and square newels.
