Description
The Rectory is a Grade II listed building that was rebuilt in 1743 and remodelled around 1830-1840. It is constructed of coursed stone and features a Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the front (west) section primarily dating from the 1830-1840 period, while the lower parts of the walls are from the 18th century. The Rectory has two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set under flat stone arches. The ground floor includes three-light sash windows and a central glazed door with a rectangular fanlight. There is a verandah across the ground floor supported by wrought iron standards and topped with a tent-shaped corrugated iron roof. The building has brick end stacks, and the rear wing, which is from the 18th century with 19th-century alterations, features wood mullion/transom casements with leaded panes and a flush panel door.
