Description

The dovecot located immediately south of The Rectory in Orton Waterville dates from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble and has a square plan topped with a pyramidal thatched roof. The east side features later double doors, and there are stone ledges on the corners beneath the eaves. Inside, the dovecot contains nesting holes and additional stone ledges.
