Description

This is an 18th-century house located on Worminghall Road in Ickford. The front, east side, and sides are painted with a colourwash over brickwork, while the rear is mainly colourwashed rubble stone. The roof is covered with old tiles. The house has a rectangular plan with four bays and two storeys. A small wooden porch shelters the central front door, and there are four casement windows with three lights on the ground floor, each with a segmental arch over the head. A band course runs horizontally around the building, and the eaves have dentil detailing. Chimney stacks are positioned centrally and one is situated between the left-hand bays. To the right is a single-storey outbuilding with a tile roof, which extends as a slate-roofed lean-to along part of the rear elevation.
