Woodgate Lodge And Wall And Gates Attached To South

Woodgate Lodge, dated 1857 and designed by George Devey, is a one-storey and attic building constructed of brick with roughcast plaster and half-timber, topped with an old tile roof. Originally L-shaped, it has been enlarged. The south elevation features a decorated gable end, a three-light casement window with diamond leaded lights, an open framed porch, and a two-light casement window also with diamond leaded lights. There is a 20th-century addition in red brick. The road elevation includes a splayed bay with a window beneath its own polygonal tiled roof, which is surmounted by a gable. Above this, there is a gabled dormer window and the gable end extends on corbels. The gable contains a six-light casement window, while the ground floor has a four-light casement window, all featuring diamond leaded lights. Attached to the south is a length of brick wall with two brick piers and iron spearhead gates.
