Description

SU 98 SW TAPLOW CLIVEDEN ROAD (Cliveden)

Dated.1857, by George Devey. Brick; roughcast plaster with half-timber; old tile roof. Originally L-plan but enlarged. One-storey and attic. South ele- vation with decorated gable end, a 3-light casement with diamond leaded lights, an open framed porch and a 2-light casement with diamond leaded lights. C20 addition in red brick. Road elevation with splayed bay, window beneath its own polygonal tiled roof surmounted by a gable, then a gabled dormer window and finally the gable end oversailing on corbels. In the gable, 6-light casement. Ground floor with 4-light casement. All windows with diamond leaded lights. Running south and returning east a length of brick wall with 2 brick piers and iron spear head gates.
