Description
Dane Court Lodge is a gate lodge built in the late 19th century. It features a timber frame with plaster on a base of red brick, tile hanging, and flint, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has an irregular plan with projecting gabled wings and consists of one storey and an attic. At the rear, there are star-moulded clustered stacks. The eaves are coved, and the gables on the right and left have pierced barge boarding. The windows are irregularly arranged and include mullioned and transomed designs, as well as oriels. The entrance has a half-glazed traceried door with a four-centred arch, set in a projecting porch. There is also a flint outshot at the rear. The lodge's style is influenced by the Devey Cottages in the area and is similar to Keeper's Cottage.
