Description

Church House, formerly known as Church Cottage, is a house dated 1702 and restored in the late 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, set on a plinth with a plat band and boxed eaves. The roof is hipped to the right and half-hipped to the left, featuring a central stack and two hipped dormers. The windows are regularly arranged, with four glazing bar sashes on each floor, and the ground floor windows have segmental heads. There is a central boarded door with a moulded surround and a notable 20th-century pedimented doorcase. Above the door, there are stone plaques inscribed with "H and ER" and "R S 1702."
