Description
Main (Feathers) Lodge is a building dating from 1891, possibly designed by R W Edis. It is constructed of stone and features a stone slate-hipped roof. The lodge is one storey with an attic and has a cross-plan layout. On the left side, there is an open porch supported by pilasters and an entablature. The right side has a projection with a dormer, a pediment topped with a small round vase, and a 2-light casement window. The ground floor has pilasters at the corners and a 3-light window. A screen wall with an entablature connects to the flank wall of the entrance gates.
