Description
The Lodge is a lodge built around 1903, constructed from hammer dressed stone with the upper half rendered. It features a tiled, hipped and sprocketted roof with wide eaves and has two large tapering rendered stacks. The building is a single storey in a T-plan layout, with tapering buttresses and quoins. The central entrance is wide and segmental arched, featuring a recessed, two-leaf part glazed door. On either side of the entrance are wide casement windows with small panes, with the left window forming a square bay that continues around the corner to the left elevation. There is also a round window on the left side and a wide flat dormer window on the front and sides. The Lodge is listed as a good example of Edwardian Free Style.
