Description
The Pavilion in the Water Garden of Cliveden is a mid-19th century structure designed in a Chinese style. It features an open hexagonal shape supported by fluted columns that are set on a pierced balustrade. Atop the pavilion is a two-tiered roof with a fish finial. The timber is painted, and the ceiling includes decorative pictures. This pavilion was exhibited at the Paris Exhibition in 1867 and was purchased by Lord Astor from Lord Hertford's villa in France.
