Description
The statues in the Evergreen Oak Grove at Cliveden are a collection of notable sculptures. At the center is a bronze statue by Theed of the Prince Consort, depicted wearing a kilt and accompanied by a dog and gun, set on a pedestal made of roughly grouped stones. There is also a late Roman altar that has been much restored, a 19th-century French bronze statue of Joan of Arc created by Princess Marie of Orleans, and a stone urn on a pedestal inscribed 'Francis 1st Earl of Ellesmere' and dated 18 February 1857. Additionally, there is a 19th-century marble statue that possibly represents Mercury.
