Description

The covered stone vase on a stone pedestal at Cliveden dates from around 1725 and marks the end of the vista from the Shell Fountain. The vase features decorative swags and lions' masks. An inscription on the side of the pedestal reads, "The gift of Queen Anne to George Hamilton, Earl of Orkney."
