Description
Purbeck Cottage and Windsor Cottage, dating from around 1860 and likely designed by George Devey, were originally a laundry and are now two cottages. The buildings are partly one storey and partly two storeys tall. They feature a mix of cement render, some areas treated as rubble stone, some finished to resemble ashlar, and others imitating timber. The roof is tiled.
On the east end, to the left, there are two casement windows beneath a tiled roof, above which is a large gable end with a sun motif. To the right, on the ground floor, there is a tripartite casement window and door beneath an overhanging tiled roof, along with a circular window. The first floor has a gabled half dormer. On the south side, there is the entrance to Purbeck Cottage and five casement windows with top lights and glazing bars.
