Description

The Boathouse, built around 1860 by G. Devey, is a picturesque structure located on Cliveden Road in Taplow. It features a half-timbered design set on a brick plinth, topped with a plain tile roof. The west front showcases a Tudor arched boat door, which is adorned with carved spandrels, and the apex of the gable is stepped forward. On either side of the door, there are 4-light leaded mullion and transom windows, each topped with dormer gables. Towards the rear, there are small half-timbered projections on both sides.
