Description
Nos. 88 and 89 are a pair of estate cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from flint with brick dressings and feature a tiled roof along with two brick chimneys that have paired square shafts. The cottages are arranged in an L-plan and stand two storeys high, with each wing having one projecting bay. The windows have stop-chamfered wooden frames and chamfered brick surrounds, with most featuring diamond leaded glazing. The ground floor has three-light casements, although the window on the right gable has been altered to two large lights. The first floor gable ends have two-light casements. The right return of the left bay includes a gabled porch with a boarded door set in a four-centred chamfered arch, along with a small arched light to the side. There is also another entry in a lean-to at the rear. These cottages are included for their group value.
