Description

Nos. 3 and 4 Mill Lane are a pair of estate cottages dating from the mid-19th century. They are two storeys tall and constructed of red brick, topped with glazed pantiled roofs that feature overhanging eaves and pierced and fluted barge-boards. Each cottage has two internal chimney-stacks, with two square shafts set diamondwise on matching bases. The front of the cottages includes a range of three casement windows: the two outer windows have two lights, while the middle window is a single light, all adorned with geometric tracery. There is a door at each end of the front, each with a small slated gabled porch supported by large solid carved brackets.
