Description
Nos. 86 and 87 are two houses that were formerly three cottages, built in the late 18th century with a slightly later bay added to the left and altered in the mid 19th century. The buildings are constructed of flint with brick dressings and have an old tile roof, featuring brick chimneys at the center and right. They are one storey high with an attic and consist of three bays. The ground floor has barred wooden casements, with a three-light window in the left bay and a two-light window in the right. The mid 19th century gabled eaves-line dormers have three-light wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars. There is a board door with a stop-chamfered frame to the left, another similar door, and a blocked doorway between the right bays. All openings have segmental header arches. These houses are included for their group value.
