Description
Benson Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of slobbered squared rubble with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. It has a central staircase plan and stands two storeys tall with two bays. The central entrance has a plain surround and a 20th-century door. There are two recessed flat-faced mullioned windows on each storey, with three lights in the left-hand bay and two lights in the right-hand bay, both featuring 20th-century casements. A ridge stack is located on the left-hand gable end. Above the entrance, there is a mid-20th-century carved panel. The interior is not accessible.
