5/10 Trainlands farmhouse with adjoining byre

House and byre. House dated 1755 on door lintel with initials WID & RD; later additions and alterations. Coursed, squared rubble; house wet-dashed. Graduated slate roofs. Possibly built as a cross-passage plan with house extended into original byre and new byre added; wing to rear of house, outshut to rear of byre. 2 storeys, byre slightly lower. 5-bay house has panelled door in ellipitcal-headed surround; 3 windows to left in stone surrounds (Yorkshire sash, mullioned 3-light, and single-light), 2 windows to right. 1st floor has two 2-light mullioned windows to left and 2 Yorkshire sashes to right, all in stone surrounds. Mid and end chimneys with brick stacks on stone bases. 3-bay byre has had eaves raised; 3 plank doors to ground floor with steps up to plank loft door. Lean-to added to return.
