Description
A farmhouse with attached byre, dating from the early 19th century, with later 19th and 20th-century alterations. The house is constructed of coursed squared stone with a brick plinth, while the byre is of coursed rubble stone. Both have pantile roofs, with brick end stacks on the house and raised ridge tiles on the byre. The house is arranged around a central entrance and has a continuous outshut. It is two storeys and an attic in height, with a three-window front. A single-storey byre is attached to the left, with no visible openings. A 20th-century half-glazed front door with an overlight is centrally positioned, flanked by tripartite sash windows with four-pane centre sashes. The first-floor windows are four-pane sashes, and the attic openings are blocked. All window and door openings are topped with flat arches of voussoirs, and all windows have painted stone sills.
