Description
Applebye House and the attached outbuildings at the rear date from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The house is constructed of red brick in English garden-wall bond, featuring gauged brick arches and a brick plinth. It has coped gables with shaped kneelers and a pantile roof, which includes brick end stacks. The building has a central-entry plan and is two stories high with a three-window front. The entrance features a half-glazed panelled door beneath an overlight, accessed by two steps. The windows are 4-pane sash style with painted stone sills, except for the center window on the first floor, which is blocked. All openings are topped with flat brick arches that have painted keystones. On the right side, there is a part-glazed door beneath a keyed flat arch, along with two 4-pane sliding sash windows in the attic.
