Description

Virginia Cottage is a late 18th-century cottage located on Town Street in Old Malton. It is constructed of red brick, which is mostly covered by creeper, and sits on a brick plinth. The cottage features a brick stack at the left end of a pantile roof. The front of the building is two stories high with one window. To the right, there is a six-panel door with an overlight, next to a two-over-six pane sliding sash window. On the first floor, there is a similar window. The ground floor openings are segment-arched, and both windows have 20th-century louvred shutters.
