Description
Meaburn Lodge is a house that was originally built as a school by subscription in 1834. The exterior features wet-dashed walls with rusticated quoins and graduated slate roofs, including outshuts at the rear. The building is single storey and consists of three bays, with a lower porch on the north side. The porch door is made of planks and has a chamfered surround with a pointed head. The main structure has a stepped, projecting chimney stack, with one window to the left and two windows to the right. Each window features triple lancets under a rectangular hoodmould with labels. There is a corniced stone mid chimney and a brick end chimney.
