Description

Lane Top Cottage is an 18th-century house located on the north side of the village green in Arncliffe. It is constructed of rubble with a graduated stone slate roof and features two storeys and two bays. The building has quoins and a boarded door positioned to the right of center, which is framed by a plain surround and has a 3-pane overlight above the lintel. The windows are 16-pane sashes set in reused stone surrounds, and there are stacks at each end of the building. The interior was not inspected during the re-survey. This cottage is included in the listing for its group value with other nearby structures.
